Software Developer
We are currently seeking talented, motivated Software Developers to join our growing development team. Responsibilities include taking an active role in the architecture, design, implementation, and test of complex high availability middleware in a cross-platform environment (primarily Linux).
Developers will produce estimates and schedules on a feature wide basis and will provide technical leadership and mentoring to other developers and team members.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience designing, implementing complex system software in an embedded environment (primarily Linux)
- Excellent proficiency in C with some exposure to C++
- Experience with Linux kernel (CGL preferred), GNU tool chain, makefiles, and build tools
- Experience in a SMP multi-core environment (threading, locks, scheduling)
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, technical leadership and communications skills.
- Solid understanding of software development principles
- Experience with the design and implementation of telecom networking equipment highly desirable.

Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer will provide primarily technical pre-sales support to potential and existing customers. The Sales Engineer will apply technical knowledge to customer requirements and determines how GoAhead products can be applied to solve the customer’s problems. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will need to have an understanding of how GoAhead products are implemented and used by GoAhead’s customer base.
Position Requirements:
- 7+ years of software pre-sales experience in system, middleware or embedded software
- Calls on potential and existing customer representatives such as engineers, or other professional and technical personnel, to discuss desirability and practicality of products and services offered.
- Prepares and delivers technical presentations on GoAhead products and services. Answers technical questions about the product and handles objections in a clear, confident and concise fashion.
- Represents GoAhead at trade shows to promote products. Develops demos for these trade shows and ensures that the demos represent GoAhead’s products in a favorable manner.
- Provides technical services to customers and channel partners relating to evaluation, implementation, integration/acceptance, and support of products.
- Technically qualifies and helps to close sales opportunities.
- Responds to customer RFP’s and RFI’s.
- Reviews customer requirements and communicates product suggestions to engineering.
- Works with other members of Sales team to identify opportunities for additional revenue in prospective and current accounts.
- Works with engineering to develop the appropriate response to customer business requirements.
- Contributes to defining product development by participating in product planning efforts, and providing customer feedback to sales and product development to enhance GoAhead product offerings.
